The Telatemp PCT-2000 Transit Thermometer is a high performance,
tamperproof +.5°C accuracy real-time vs. temperature recording system designed to cost effectively protect the quality and safety of critical temperature sensitive goods in transit.

The Telatemp PC Transit Thermometer system consists of: A compact, battery-operated self-contained data logger module that travels with a shipment and the support package: a data recovery interface with 9-pin serial connector that cradles the data logger to transfer data to an IBM PC or compatible, Telatemp Transit Software for data logger set-up, data capture, display, analysis, graphing and printing and the key ring magnetic starter.

DATA LOGGER MODULE. At the heart of the PC Transit Thermometer system is the +.5°C accuracy solid-state PCT-2000-DLM Data Logger Module which senses and records up to 16,000 temp vs. time points from -40°C to +70°C. Timing accuracy is +40 sec./month. The rate of data sampled can be programmed for intervals from one to 255 minutes. Recordings are indexed to "real time", and can be read in local time, sender's time, or elapsed time.

RUGGED, WATER-RESISTANT. Housed in a rugged polycarbonate water-resistant case, the compact 2.5 oz, 3" dia. x .75" data logger module can operate under adverse environmental transit conditions with 100% reliability--trip after trip.

PERMANENT MEMORY.The non-volatile "permanent" memory assures that all recordings will be retained in memory, even if the 3.6V lithium battery becomes depleted or removed.

START RECORDING. To start recording a trip with the data logger is simple. It can be pre-programmed to start at a particular time. Or it can be started by the shipper with a convenient Key Ring Magnetic Starter that is swiped across the logger's back side. Beeping tones tell when the logger is operating. The logger then travels with the load to record temp/time trip activity.

DATA RECOVERY INTERFACE. At the destination, the trip data can be quickly retrieved by placing the logger into its Data Recovery Interface PC-2000-DRI and loading the stored information into an IBM PC or compatible using the Telatemp Transit Software. Recorded data is totally protected against unauthorized use, tampering or duplication with a secure password programmed in software.

VERSATILE TRANSIT SOFTWARE. The menu driven Telatemp Transit Software is easy to use. It sets up the parameters for temp/time recordings in the Data Logger Module, including the interval between recordings and the cargo's minimum and maximum safe temperature ranges. The trip number is automatically assigned for each use.

REPORTING OPTIONS. Recorded data can be displayed and printed in List and Graph modes in °C or °F. A variety of options are available for formatting, printing, graphing and saving the data. Reports include a serial number, the trip number, sampling frequency, a summary of all measurements outside of the cargo's safe minimum and maximum temperatures.

Also, time-stamped temperatures for an entire trip's recordings with out-of-spec temperatures noted with an * are listed.

The average temperature of the trip or any portion of the trip can be shown, along with the total number of logs and the number of readings outside of the safe temperature band.

Trip data can be saved to disk in the Telatemp compact format to be queried at any time by the Transit Software, or as an ASCII file or .SLK file for export to popular spreadsheets, databases and word processing programs. Data can be output on popular printers.
