LOW COST PROGRAMMABLE RECORDER MEASURES AND RECORDS SHOCK OR VIBRATION

The low cost TelaSHOCK programmable shock recorder is a 3-axis, battery-powered, stand-alone recorder that measures and records the peak acceleration levels to which the package or container is subjected, along with the date and time of occurrence.

The TelaSHOCK Recorder is designed to operate within moving environments such as vehicles, trains and ships. The device is also useful to characterize environments such as production and assembly lines of delicate electronics, IC fabrication, communications and computer components, as well as active, vibration-sensitive pharmaceuticals.

The device is supplied with three internal monolithic accelerometers oriented for measurement of three perpendicular axes. The unit can be mounted in any orientation. The standard measurement range is +/-50 g. A Telashock measuring +/- 100g is also available.

The Tela SHOCK XR is an extended-run version that will operate for 60+ days. It is powered by six D size alkaline batteries which make it larger (1.875" x 5.5" x 8.75") and heavier (5 lbs.). All other specifications are the same.

For setup and data recovery, the TelaSHOCK is used in conjunction with a host PC running Telatemp's Windows™ based software. Once activated, the recorder senses and records the shock and vibration levels that occur within preset "time bin" periods. The bin period is programmable from 0.125 seconds to 1 hour. The highest measurement within each period is stored.

Micro Series Support Package

DATA ANALYSIS SOFTWARE FOR MICRO SERIES LOGGERS

The Telatemp MLSP Support Package includes everything you need to set up, start and download data from any number of data loggers in the Micro Series using a PC.

To get started, the user connects the Interface Cable to the logger and to the PC's serial port, inputs the device ID description and starts the data collection through the easy-to-use software. The software is compatible with Windows 95® or newer and configures itself appropriately.

After data collection, the logger connects via the Interface Cable to the PC to list and/or graph the data or, export the data as a text file or as a .CSV file for import into Microsoft Excel® and similar programs. Special features include "real time display" which allows the user's computer to emulate a strip chart recorder by connecting the logger to the PC and monitoring and recording simultaneously.

Also provided is statistical analysis for the whole data set or any "zoomed" subset of the data. Some of the statistics provided are minimum, maximum, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and mean kinetic temperature.
